Outpatient Services

« Back to Services The Saint John Vianney Center Outpatient Department provides a variety of services including assessments as well as therapy and counseling for clergy, religious, and permanent deacons.

The assessments are conducted under the professional standards for psychological testing by the American Psychological Association and are conducted by a licensed psychologist who is experienced in psychological assessments and clerical/religious life issues.

Assessment include:
  • Screening for seminary formation
  • Screening for religious life formation
  • Screening for permanent diaconate formation
  • Incardination evaluations
  • Assessment for ministry fitness
  • Specialized assessments

Therapy and counseling can help with dealing with psychological and emotional distress stemming from an acute mental health condition, struggling with problems in life, ministry, or in living out vocation promise/vows, or facing transition in ministerial career or vocational discernment processes.
